De customer journey is het in kaart brengen van de interacties tussen de organisatie en de consument voordat een product of dienst wordt aangekocht. Ook B2B bedrijven kunnen een hoger rendement op marketingacties behalen door te beredeneren vanuit de reis die klanten afleggen naar een aankoop. Toch is er een wezenlijk verschil in dit proces bij B2C bedrijven ten opzichte van B2B bedrijven. Bij B2C bedrijven is de persoon die informatie inwint, ook de persoon die beslist over de aanschaf. Bij B2B bedrijven wordt in de ori\u00ebntatiefase informatie ingewonnen door persoon A, terwijl persoon B over het aankoopbedrag beslist en persoon C het product of de dienst gaat gebruiken. Meerdere reizigers en meerdere be\u00efnvloeders vragen om een iets andere aanpak. Deze aanpak bij B2B bedrijven noemen we de buyer journey. Weet welke persoon binnen het bedrijf zich bezighoudt met welke fase in het aankoopproces en richt daar je actie op in.[\/split_line_heading][split_line_heading animation_type=&#8221;default&#8221;]Door tijdens de buyer journey in elke fase in te spelen op de behoefte van de betreffende persoon, wordt elk contactmoment relevant, waardevol en rendabel. Dit begint al bij de website van de organisatie; worden de vragen van de ori\u00ebnterende bezoeker met een specifieke behoefte beantwoord? Welk probleem van de klant wordt opgelost als hij tot aankoop over zou gaan? Waarom zou de beslisser het via jou aankopen? Zorg ervoor dat de bezoeker gemakkelijk contact met je op kan nemen via meerdere kanalen. En wat als de bezoeker wordt afgeleid en geen contact met je opneemt? Ben je deze ge\u00efnteresseerde prospect dan kwijt? Of is er nog een manier om in contact te komen? Ook wanneer de klant nog geen contact zoekt, is het belangrijk te blijven triggeren en in te spelen op de behoeften.
