Het gaat goed met de Nederlandse detailhandel. Het totaal aantal bedrijven in het marktsegment neemt elk jaar toe. Ook de omzet in het segment stijgt. In 2020 nam de totale omzet binnen de detailhandel al toe ten opzichte van 2019. <\/strong>In 2021 steeg de omzet verder met 4,4 procent. Hiermee stijgt d<\/strong>e omzet van de detailhandel voor het zevende jaar op rij, <\/strong>meldt het CBS. <\/strong>De omzettoename is niet in elke branche binnen de detailhandel overeenkomstig. Detaillisten, veel nieuwkomers en weinig afvallers<\/strong><\/h2>\n[\/split_line_heading][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_spacing=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1\/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][split_line_heading animation_type=”default”]Ook het totaal aantal bedrijven in het marktsegment is de afgelopen jaren gestegen. In 2019 waren 143.152 bedrijven actief in de detailhandel. In 2020 waren dit er 159.878 en in 2021 betreft het 173.164 bedrijven. Het aantal faillissementen onder detaillisten was in 2021 daarbij aanzienlijk lager dan in het jaar daarvoor. Hoe krijgen zoveel detaillisten het voor elkaar om ondanks de lockdowns in 2020 en 2021 te blijven bestaan? Dit is onder andere te wijten aan de investeringen in het onlinekanaal. Al geldt helaas niet voor alle detaillisten dat de internetverkopen het omzetverlies kunnen dragen. De steunpakketten van de overheid en het belastinguitstel hebben ook veel detaillisten vooralsnog gered. Tijdens de coronacrisis konden bedrijven uitstel van betaling aanvragen bij de belastingdienst. Het bijzonder uitstel van betaling vanwege de coronacrisis loopt echter tot 1 april 2022. Kijken we naar het aantal nieuwkomers (starters) van de afgelopen jaren in de branches kleding- en schoenenwinkels, dan is dit in 2019 het hoogst. Dit is maar liefst 37,5 procent van het totaal aantal starters in het marktsegment detailhandel met hierin 86 verschillende branches.
